APP END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (AULA) V.1

By downloading, installing, or embedding this font software into any Application, you agree to the following legal terms:

  1. GRANT OF LICENSE This is a non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to embed font software into a single (1) Application. This agreement is a license for use and not a sale of the original software, vector geometry, or underlying code. All intellectual property rights remain the exclusive property of SO-AND-SO TYPED IT.

  2. PERMITTED USAGE Embedding: Font software may be embedded into the code of a compiled Application (e.g., .ipa, .apk, .exe) for the purpose of rendering text within the user interface.

Platform Scope: This license covers one (1) Application across multiple operating systems (e.g., the iOS and Android versions of the same App).

Static Assets: Use within the App's marketing materials and splash screens is permitted.

  1. RESTRICTIONS No Desktop Installation: This license does not permit installation on local workstations for general design use. A separate Desktop license is required for the design phase.

No Extraction: Licensee must take reasonable steps to ensure the font software cannot be extracted or accessed by end-users of the Application.

No Modification: Licensee shall not decompile, reverse-engineer, rename, or modify the software or its outlines.

No Editing Tools: This license does not allow the font to be used in apps that create new documents or products (e.g., a "meme maker" or "custom t-shirt" app). Contact for a custom "Product Creation" license.

  1. AUDIT & METRICS The license fee is based on Monthly Active Users (MAU). Licensee is responsible for monitoring these metrics. If MAU exceeds the licensed tier for three (3) consecutive months, a tier upgrade is mandatory. SO-AND-SO TYPED IT reserves the right to request verified analytics reports.

  2. TERMINATION Any breach of these terms, including under-licensing of users or unauthorized embedding, results in the immediate and automatic termination of this license. Upon termination, the font software must be removed from the Application's code and all updates.
